2004 This poor little guy was the same nestling in the previous picture. I checked on him two days later to find him cold and laying lifeless in the corner of the nest, far away from his siblings. I thought he was dead but he was alive, barely clinging to life. I brought him inside and put him on a heating pad. As he slowly warmed up he began to improve. I rehabbed him for 12 hours or so and then put him in a foster nest with others around his same age.  Amazingly, he is alive and doing well. With a little luck he will fledge with his step-brothers & sisters. The nest he was placed in belonged to ASY parents with 5 other Martin babies in the nest. His biological parents were subbies. BACK
